ENTITLED
APPROPRIATION ACT, 2011
AN ACT to
provide for the withdrawal of
sums of money necessary to meet
government expenditure for the
2012 financial year from the
Consolidated Fund and from other
funds and to provide for related
matters.

Financial year
1. Pursuant
to Article 179 (2) (a) of
the Constitution a sum of money
not exceeding Nineteen Billion,
Nine Hundred and Thirty-Five
Million, Seven Hundred and
Sixty-Seven Thousand, Three
Hundred and Thirty-One Ghana
Cedis, (GH˘19,935,767,331.00)
shall be issued from the
Consolidated Fund and other
Funds during the Financial year
commencing on the 1st day of
January and ending on the 31st
day of December, 2012 and shall
be appropriated for the purposes
specified in the First Schedule.
Internally
Generated Fund
2. That the
Ministries, Departments, and
Agencies listed in the first
column of the Second Schedule be
permitted to retain and use an
amount of One Billion, One
Hundred and Forty Million, Nine
Hundred Ninety Thousand Ghana
Cedis (GH˘I,140,990,000.00)
indicated in the second column
of the Second Schedule being a
part of the total amount
specified in section 1 of this
Act during the Financial year
commencing on the 1st day of
January and ending on the 31st
day of December, 2012.
Payment of
money on authorization of
Minister for Finance and
Economic Planning
3. The
Controller and the
Accountant-General may, on a
warrant issued on the authority
of the Minister responsible for
Finance and Economic Planning
payout of the Consolidated Fund
and other Funds during the
financial year ending on the
31st day of December, 2012 any
sum not exceeding on the whole
the sum of Nineteen Billion,
Nine Hundred and ThirtyFIve
Million, Seven Hundred and
Sixty-Seven Thousand, Three
Hundred and Thirty-One Ghana
Cedis (GH˘19,935,767,331.00)
referred to in Section 1 of this
Act.
Commencement
4. This Act
shall come into force on the 1st
day of January, 2012.
Repeal
5. The
Appropriation Act, 2010 is
hereby repealed.
