IN exercise of the powers
conferred on the
Commander-in-Chief by section 97
of the Armed Forces Act, 1962 (Act
105), and after consultation with
the Armed Forces Council, this
regulation is made this 4th day of
October, 1974.
Regulation 1 — Amendment of C.I.
12/1970.
The Armed Forces Regulations, 1970
(C.I. 12) are hereby amended by
the addition, immediately after
paragraph (2) (b) of article
206.39 of the following: —
"After completing less than five
years' qualifying service (but not
less than three year's qualifying
service) gratuity may be awarded
at the discretion of the Ministry,
but not exceeding one-fifth of a
year's pensionable emolument for
each year of qualifying service.
No award will be made for less
than three years' qualifying
service."
