                                                                              ENTITLED

DATA PROCESSING CONTROL BOARD DECREE (REPEAL) ACT, 2007

AN ACT to repeal the Data Processing Control Board Decree, 1976 (S.M.C.D. 19) and to provide for related matters.

ENACTED by the President and Parliament:

Repeal of S.M.C.D. 19

1. The Data Processing Control Board Decree, 1976 (S.M.C.D. 19) is repealed by this Act.

Transitional and savings provisions

2. (1) Despite the repeal of the Data Processing Control Board Decree, 1976 (S.M.C.D. 19), the

(a) Central Systems Development Unit established under section 2 of (S.M.CD. 19) is transferred to the Ministry of Communications, and (b) staff of the Central Systems Development Unit are transferred to the Ministry of Communications.

(2) Despite the repeal of S.M.C.D. 19, licences issued and approvals given by the Board or any other act lawfully done under the repealed enactment immediately before the commencement of this Act, shall be considered to have been issued, approved or done under this Act and shall continue to have effect until reviewed, cancelled or terminated.
