HARBOURS AND WHARFAGE DUES ORDINANCE (CAP. 238) THE PORTS (SEKONDI) ORDER, 1957 (LN 18).

Cap. 238.

IN exercise of the powers conferred upon the Governor by section 3 of the Harbours and Wharfage Dues Ordinance, the following Order is hereby made:—

Order 1—Title.

This Order may be cited as the Ports (Sekondi) Order, 1957.

Order 2—Sekondi Constituted a Harbour.

The port of Sekondi is hereby constituted a harbour of the Colony and shall comprise all the land, foreshore and waters bounded—

(a) on the South by a line running 090° from Fort Orange Lighthouse, Sekondi, to the meridian 1° 42’ W, 

(b) on the East by the meridian 1° 42’ W,

(c) on the North by a line running 270° from the meridian 1° 42’ to the Municipal boundary mark at Bansu Point, and

(d) on the West by a line running parallel to and twenty-five yards above the High Water Mark from the point at which such line cuts the northern boundary to the point at which it cuts the southern boundary.

Made at Accra this 14th day of January, 1957.
