HOUSING LOANS ORDINANCE, 1952THE HOUSING LOANS (DISCONTINUANCE) ORDER, 1958 (LN 105).

No. 15 of 1952.

              

IN exercise of the powers conferred upon the Governor-General by section 23 of the Housing Loans Ordinance, 1952, the following Order is hereby made:—

Order 1—Title and Commencement.

(1) This Order may be cited as the Housing Loans (Discontinuance) Order, 1958.

(2) This Order shall come into force on the 29th day of March, 1958.

Order 2—Discontinuance of Loans.

After the coming into force of this Order the Housing Loans Boards established under the Housing Loans Ordinance, 1952, shall not make any further loans under that Act.

Order 3—Transfer of Functions of Boards.

(1) The Supervisor, Housing Management, of the Ministry of Housing is hereby appointed under paragraph (c) of section 23 of the said Ordinance.

(2) All the functions of all the Housing Loans Boards under the said Ordinance (that is to say all their functions in relation to loans made before the coming into force of this Order) shall be exercised by the said Supervisor, and any act done by the said Supervisor in exercise of any such function shall be deemed to have been done by the Housing Loans Board in question.
