LIQUOR LICENSING (PROHIBITED HOURS) REGULATIONS, 1974 (LI 958).

 

IN exercise of the powers conferred on the Commissioner responsible for Industries by sections 10 and 13 of the Liquor Licensing Act, 1970 (Act 331) these Regulations are made this 29th day of July, 1974.

Regulation 1—Ban on Sale of Liquor on Night of 3rd August, 1974.

(1) No hotel, bar or other premises whatsoever licensed for the sale of spirits, wine or beer shall be open for the sale or consumption of spirits, wine or beer between the hours of 9 p.m. on Saturday, 3rd August, 1974 and 6 a.m. on Sunday, 4th August, 1974.

(2) This regulation shall apply notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in a licence issued under the Liquor Licensing Act, 1970 (Act 331).

Regulation 2—Penalty.

Any person who permits any hotel, bar or other premises to be open for the sale or consumption of spirits, wine or beer in contravention of regulation 1 shall be guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding ¢200.00 or to imprisonment not exceeding six months or to both.
