IN exercise of the powers
conferred on the Commissioner
responsible for Health by section
59 of the Pharmacy and Drugs Act,
1961 (Act 64) these Regulations
are made this 8th day of April,
1975.
Regulation 1—L.I. 142 Amended.
The Pharmacy and Drugs
Regulations, 1961 (L.I. 142) as
amended are hereby further amended
in regulations 5, 8 and 29 thereof
as follows:—
(a) by the substitution in
regulation 5 thereof for the fee
of "ten shillings" appearing
therein of the fee of "twenty
cedis";
(b) by the substitution in
regulation 8 thereof for the fee
of "five pounds five shillings"
appearing therein of the fee of
"twenty-five cedis";
(c) by the substitution for
regulation 29 thereof of the
following new regulation—
"29. Application for Registration
of Specialities.
The application for registration
of a drug as a speciality under
section 54 (2) of the Act shall be
in the Form No. 25 of the First
Schedule hereto, and a fee of
twenty cedis shall be charged for
each registration.”
Regulation 2—First Schedule to L.I.
142 Amended.
The said Regulations are further
amended in the First Schedule
thereof as follows:—
(a) by the omission of the
following words and figures:
"I enclose the registration fee of
10s" from Form No. 3;
(b) by the omission of the
following words and figures:
"We enclose the licence fee of £5
5s" from Form No. 6;
(c) by the omission of the
following words and figures:
"I/We enclose registration fee of
£1 1s” from Form No. 25.
Regulation 3—Commencement.
These Regulations shall be deemed
to have come into force on the 1st
day of September, 1974.
