THE APPROPRIATION
ACT,
2013 (ACT
868)
AN ACT to provide for the
withdrawal of sums of money
necessary to meet government
expenditure for the 2014
financial year from the
Consolidated Fund and from other
funds and to provide for related
matters.

1. Pursuant to Article 179(2)
(a) of the Constitution a
sum of money not exceedingThirty-Six
Billion One Hundred and Seventy
Million, Nine Hundred and
Eighty-ThreeThousand, Six
Hundred and Sixty Three Ghana
Cedis (GH¢36,170,983,663)
shall be issued from the
Consolidated Fund and other
Funds during the Financial year
commencing on the 1st day of
January and ending on the 31st
day of December, 2014 and shall
be appropriated for the purposes
specified in the First Schedule.
Internally Generated Fund
2.
That the Ministries,
Departments, and Agencies listed
in the first column of the
Second Schedule be permitted to
retain and use an amount
of Two Billion, Eight Hundred
and Five Million, Nine Hundred
and Ninety-Four Thousand, Three
Hundred and Seventy-Six Ghana
Cedis (GH¢2,805,994,376)
indicated in the second column
of the Second Schedule being a
part of the total amount
specified in section 1 of this
Act during the Financial year
commencing on the 1st day of
January and ending on the 31st
day of December, 2014.
Payment of money on
authorization of Minister for
Finance
3.
The Controller and the
Accountant-General may, on a
warrant issued on the authority
of the Minister responsible for
Finance, payout of the
Consolidated Fund and other
Funds during the financial year
ending on the 31 st day of
December, 2014 any sum not
exceeding on the whole the sum
of Thirty-Six Billion One
Hundred and Seventy Million,
Nine Hundred and Eighty-Three
Thousand, Six Hundred and Sixty
Three
Ghana Cedis (GH¢36,170,983,663)
referred to in Section 1 of
this Act.
Commencement
4.
This Act shall come into force
on the 1st day of January, 2014.
Repeal
5.
The Appropriation Act, 2013 (Act
856) is hereby repealed.
