                   ARMED FORCES REVOLUTIONARY COUNCIL DECREE

TRADE PROHIBITION (COMPANIES AND DIRECTORS) (NO. 2) DECREE, 1979 (AFRCD 65)

 

ARRANGEMENT OF SECTIONS

Section

1. Certain Companies Prohibited from Operating in Ghana.

2. Certain Persons Prohibited from carrying on Business in Ghana.

BE IT ENACTED by the Armed Forces Revolutionary Council as follows:—

Section 1—Certain Companies Prohibited from Operating in Ghana.

The companies or firms specified in the Schedule to this Decree are hereby prohibited from engaging in any timber trade in Ghana.

Section 2—Certain Persons Prohibited from carrying on Business in Ghana.

Any person who holds office as a Director in any of the companies or enterprises specified in the Schedule to this Decree is hereby prohibited from engaging in any business or commercial activities in Ghana.

Section 3—Offences.

Any person who contravenes any provision of section 1 or 2 of this Decree commits an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding ¢5,000.00 or a term of imprisonment not exceeding two years or to both.
